Warwick is a world-class University with a buzzing sense of community and vibrant social scene. Based in the heart of campus, Warwick Students' Union is the focal point of student life, with a recently refurbished and modern building and top-notch facilities for relaxing, partying, eating, drinking and welfare. Warwick has one of the largest unions for clubs and societies in the UK.
The establishment of the University of Warwick was given approval by the government in 1961 and received its Royal Charter of Incorporation in 1965.
Warwick maintains around 30 academic departments organised into four faculties: Arts, Medicine, Science and Social Science. It also has an extensive library with more than 13km of manuscripts.
