ABOUT KYRA

Kyra is currently based in London but grew up in Southampton, a maritime city in the UK. She has also spent time living in Abu Dhabi, Oxford, Colombia and France. In her spare time, Kyra loves playing the piano and guitar, roaming her local green spaces whilst listening to podcasts, and taking Arabic language classes.

Kyra first developed her passion for admissions and higher education during her time at the University of Oxford, where she participated in a vast range of access initiatives alongside her BA in Modern Languages. In roles such as Day Officer at ‘Target Schools’ and Academic Ambassador for the Oxford UNIQ Summer School, she enjoyed delivering admissions test coaching, personal statement workshops and presentations on the Oxford application process. Kyra spent one year of her undergraduate studies in Colombia, teaching English at the University of Cartagena to enrich her knowledge of education in different global contexts. In her final year, Kyra’s position as Admissions Coordinator for Hertford College afforded her valuable insights into the inner workings of the undergraduate interview process.

Since graduating from Oxford with a first-class degree, Kyra has pursued an MSc in International Social and Public Policy, volunteered for the Oxbridge admissions support initiative ‘Unipear’ and put her admissions knowledge into practice at Crimson Education. She has recently helped students secure offers from prestigious G5 and Russell Group universities such as Oxford, Cardiff and King’s College London. She recognises that studying abroad can be a life-changing experience, filled with opportunities for personal growth and cultural exchange, and is passionate about helping her students to reach their university goals!
