Crimson Education, from time-to-time, may send you marketing communications using the personal information you provide to us. You can ask us not to send you marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe button at the bottom of the marketing communication, or by making a request by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
Cookies and web beacons
Crimson Education tracks users when they cross from our primary public website (Crimson Education.org) to our “Crimson Education community” site (ask.crimsoneducation.org) by logging in with their user name and password, as well as when visitors to our website enter through a marketing landing page. Crimson Education also keeps a record of third party websites accessed when a user is on Crimson Education site and clicks on a hyperlink. But Crimson Education does not track users to subsequent sites and does not serve targeted advertising to them.
Crimson App Google Calendar Sync
This privacy statement describes how Crimson Education collects and uses the information you provide in your Google Calendar account via the Crimson App "Google Calendar Sync" application. It also describes the choices available to you regarding our use of your information and how you can access and update this information.

The security of your Google Calendar's personal information is important to us. We take commercially reasonable measures and follow generally accepted standards to protect the information you provide us, both during transmission and once we receive it. For example, the information you provide is transmitted via encryption using technologies such as secure socket layer technology (SSL)
No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information.
Accessing Your Information
If you have chosen to synchronise your calendar 2-way then the data will be updated both in Crimson App and Google Calendar no matter where you make the changes to. You may also decide to have just one-way synchronisation which limits the syncing process to only one medium - either Crimson App or Google Calendar.
We will retain the synced/imported information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you with our services.
If you wish to close your account or request that we no longer use your Google Calendar information you can unbind the Google Calendar in the “Bookings” sections of our web application.

We may update this privacy statement to reflect changes to our business or this app as it pertains to the information collected from you and our use of it. If the change impacts how we use or handle information collected from you, we will email you and/or your company’s Google administrator, or post a notice where you first access this app prior to the change becoming effective. When and how we share information with others
Information you’ve entered into our Crimson Education contact forms are maintained in association with a user profile. The personal information Crimson Education collects from you is stored in one or more databases hosted by third parties located in the United States. These third parties do not use or have access to your personal information for any purpose other than cloud storage and retrieval. On occasion, Crimson Education engages third parties to mail information to you.
We do not otherwise – with the exception of the cases noted above - reveal your personal data to third parties for their independent use unless: (1) you request or authorize it; (2) it’s in connection with Crimson Education hosted and Crimson Education co-sponsored conferences as described above; (3) the information is provided to comply with the law (for example, to comply with a search warrant, subpoena or court order), enforce an agreement we have with you, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or the rights, property or safety of our employees or others; (4) the information is provided to our agents, vendors or service providers who perform functions on our behalf; (5) to address emergencies or acts of God; or (6) to address disputes, claims, or to persons demonstrating legal authority to act on your behalf. Your personal data is stored by Crimson Education on its servers, and on the servers of the cloud-based database management services Crimson Education engages, these services are stored across the globe and are managed and maintained by their professional teams. Crimson Education retains data for the duration of the customer’s business relationship with Crimson Education and for a period of time thereafter to allow members to recover accounts if they decide to renew, to analyze the data for Crimson Education’s own operations, and for historical and archiving purposes associated with Crimson Education’s history as a membership association.
