University of Oxford Admissions Office
Patrick graduated from the University of Oxford with a Bachelor’s in History. He is fluent in both Mandarin and Cantonese, and since 2019 has worked in the Oxford Office of Admissions interview shortlisting, screening, and selection processes for applicants. He now supports many Crimson students on their path to top universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, UCL, Imperial and more.
Princeton University Admissions Office
Ricky has a BA in Linguistics & Cognitive Science from Pomona College. Ricky previously worked as the Assistant Director of Admissions at Princeton University and helped shape the supplemental essay questions currently used for the admissions process. He now supports many Crimson students on their path to top universities, including the Ivy League, MIT, Stanford and more.

Ricky will cover the criteria that top US universities use to evaluate applicants and specific tips for maximising the impact of each evaluated factor.
At the end of this presentation, you will have a clearer understanding of the expectations that the Ivy League and other top US universities have for their candidates, including academic achievements (school grades, curriculum rigour and standardised test scores); the impact of extracurricular activities and leadership; as well as the importance of crafting standout personal essays.
