To have the best chance of being admitted to Stanford, UK applicants should aim for the highest possible academic scores in their A-Levels and IB and take classes related to their intended major.
As you’re taking these courses, it’s also useful to think about how your A-Levels convert to a GPA score and aim for a GPA of 3.96 or higher. Even though it is it's not necessary to convert your A-Level or International Baccalaureate (IB) results into a GPA format when applying to Stanford, it is important to keep in mind that most Stanford students got in with a GPA of 4.0 or higher! If you’re struggling to get through the difficult A-levels or IBs, hurting your scores and GPA will decrease your chances of getting into Stanford.
