What is the Language Requirement at Princeton?

I heard there’s a language requirement for Princeton students? Is that true? Any advice for one to take?

You have to take a foreign language only if you’re an AB major. Passing the AP exam for a language or displaying proficiency through a placement exam is often enough to get out of the language requirement. However, if you’re looking to start a brand new language, I highly recommend Princeton’s Chinese program. It’s full of brilliant, passionate teachers, and gets you speaking surprisingly well after only one semester!
