Is taking Physics necessary in year 13 for Med school

Is it important to take physics in yr 13, if you want to apply for Med school at the University of Auckland?

Taking Physics in Y13 won’t make or break your chances regarding getting into either first year Bachelor of Health Sciences (BHSc) or Bachelor of Science (BSc Biomedical Science).

But if you are planning on taking BSc (Biomedical Science), taking Physics in Y13 is a very good idea because it will give you a leg up in PHYSICS 160 which is a core paper. However to be honest taking Y13 Physics is an excellent choice if you are going into the Bachelor of Health Sciences too because it helps with your abstract problem-solving ability.
