Grades and academics

I got terrible grades in my freshman and sophomore years because of mental health issues. Is it possible where I can turn that around and get good grades and get into a top school?

There are no guarantees as GPA is the most crucial component in applications, but an incline upward in grades is definitely preferable to a decline. It would be important to also disclose the reason for the lower grades in the Additional Info. section of applications so that admissions officers can understand the circumstances, which they may take into account.
