What is John Hopkins’ Acceptance Rate for the Class of 2027?

Johns Hopkins reported their Regular Admission results for the Class of 2027. This prestigious university announced that 1,592 students earned admission.

"It's exciting to see how so many young people are thinking about the future and imagining themselves as agents of positive change," says Ellen Chow, Dean of Undergraduate Admissions.

These students will join the 533 students admitted during Early Decision I and 278 during Early Decision II to make up the university's next incoming undergraduate class. To increase your chances of getting into Johns Hopkins University, we recommend you apply early.

The university did not reveal how many total applications they received for the class of 2027. For the class of 2026, the competition was intense, and only 6.5% of the 37,150 early and regular decision round applicants received the coveted admissions letter. The incoming class came from 47 U.S. states, 39 countries, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and Guam.

Accepted students performed above and beyond in many key areas during their high school years.

Johns Hopkins Regular Admissions Results for the Class of 2026

Only 2,408 students were accepted into the Johns Hopkins class of 2026, with 1,586 coming from the regular admissions round. Most top universities have reported a downward trend in admission rates in the last three years, likely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, optional standardized testing, and an uptick in the number of students applying to college. As one of the most competitive non-Ivy League schools in the country, Johns Hopkins is no exception. Its admission rates have also decreased.
