What GPA do you need to get into Northwestern?
If you were in a class of, say, 400 or 500 students, and you were only in the top 100, even if you were at a well-resourced school and scoring really well on a standardized test, the fact that you weren't the cream of the crop in your environment did speak a lot to how we would evaluate.

What SAT or ACT score do you need for Northwestern?
Aim for the top of Northwestern's range rather than the middle. If you send a score, plan toward the 75th percentile, about 1560 on the SAT or 35 on the ACT.

If they were only taking the intermediate or honors level in the other areas and not taking APs elsewhere, that would be a very lopsided profile to me. Generally, we want a high floor of being successful across multiple domains.

Take the hardest available version of each subject, and spread the challenge across domains. One advanced department with intermediate everything else is the pattern that works against you.
