Snacking while studying – help?

Any tips to stop me from stress eating all the time?

My advice? If you find yourself eating mindlessly but aren’t actually hungry, go brush your teeth. For some reason (maybe the taste, maybe the freshness), it immediately removes any inclination for me to eat.

Gum can help too. I’m a kinetic learner, and I’ve found that chewing gum can give me the feeling of movement when I’m reading (because I’m not great at sitting still for ages so sometimes I find myself snacking only for that purpose) and also ties the information I’m learning to an action. Sometimes I’ll quietly chew gum in exams to help with this (it’s that whole thing of when you learn a fact eating an apple, sometimes when you eat an apply you’ll remember the fact).

But I’ll have to try the teeth brushing thing too!
