Colleges compare like to like - so regardless of what type of GPA you submit, they will usually recalculate to make sure everyone is on a level playing field. Most colleges only consider the main academic subjects for this purpose and do not include subjects like physical ed to ensure that students are only being compared on their academic abilities. Plus most admissions officers are aware of high school methodologies and use this as a factor in their decisions as well.

Many colleges do not have a minimum GPA requirement for admissions. The GPA is just the starting point to look at a candidate and you will be evaluated holistically for your admissions. So it really does not matter whether you submit a weighted or unweighted GPA.
