A level transcripts

Hi, I was wondering if I decide to resit one of my A levels because my previous results weren’t exactly satisfactory would competitive universities look at my previous A level results and discount me from admission? Also if our school didn’t offer IGCSE examinations in year 11 would it matter that much in the admissions process?

Hi Ruth - great question! You can re-sit A Levels and only show your highest score. This is allowed similar to how you can re-sit old AP subjects. A lack of IGCSE subjects is fine for US admissions. What subjects are you planning on taking in A Levels and what tier of school are you applying for?
