Dame Ranjna Patel

NZ Order of Merit & King’s Service Medal

Born and raised in NZ, Dame Ranjna Patel co-founded East Tamaki Healthcare, growing it into Tāmaki Health, the nation’s largest private primary healthcare network. She founded Gandhi Nivas, reducing family harm reoffending by 60%, created Mana 4 Mums for young Māori and Pacific mothers, and co-founded the Swaminarayan Complex. Honours include QSM, ONZM, Innovator of the Year, NZ Business Hall of Fame, and Dame Companion for services to communities, health, and family violence prevention.

Dean of Science and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the University of Auckland. Professor Sarah Young is an internationally recognised immunologist.
