What is a BS/MD Program?

A BS/MD program is a combined college and medical school track that allows students to apply for both at the same time—straight from high school. If accepted, students earn their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree and are already guaranteed a seat in the partnering Doctor of Medicine (MD) program. Unlike the traditional route—where students must first complete a 4-year degree, apply separately to medical school, and compete with thousands of applicants—the BS/MD programs offer a direct, secure, and highly selective route to becoming a physician.
