Crimson Research Institute (CRI) is an elite, online academic research program that allows ambitious high school students to work alongside PhD mentors and university professors on an undergraduate-level research paper or project of their choice.
A one-of-a-kind extracurricular opportunity that will get you noticed in the admissions office
A stand-out university application consists of much more than impressive academics — it also illustrates intellectual curiosity, a sense of initiative and your ability to tackle unique challenges and projects.
With the Crimson Research Institute you can work alongside experienced mentors to produce a piece of research that showcases these qualities and will help you to shine in your applications.
With three tiers of support to choose from - Explorer, Researcher and Innovator - we’ll find the right programme for you.
Through a series of online lectures and modules, students are introduced to research basics and methods to prepare them to begin their own work.
Students will meet with their expert mentor 1:1 to explore their area of interest, engage intellectually with the subject, and choose a research topic.
With 1:1 support from their dedicated mentor, students will work to complete their project - this can be a Literature Review, or a research paper using existing or independent research.
Students will submit their work to our CRI team for editing, and receive guidance on publishing their research when completed.
