Thousands of ambitious students apply to Oxford and Cambridge University in the UK and the Ivy League universities in the US every year. This popularity stems from the academic excellence, incredible facilities and incomparable career prospects they offer their students.
But with this popularity come fierce competition. Ivy League universities have an average acceptance rate of 5.2% and Oxbridge are only slightly higher at 18%.
So what’s involved in the admissions process and what can you do to stand out from the crowd?
We have Crimson Strategist, George Baxter, joining us on the night to let us in on the secrets of admissions. George graduated from both Harvard University and UCL and has a vast knowledge of both systems and what it takes to get accepted.
Applying to top universities is a difficult and stressful task which is why so many students seek external support.
Each of our programmes are tailored to the student and are delivered by a carefully selected team of mentors who provide focussed support with each and every aspect of the process - from university selection to essay writing and SAT preparation.
By signing up for this webinar you will get a 1:1 university strategy meeting for you and your child with one of our expert Academic Advisors. They will review your child’s academic and extracurricular profile, provide tailored guidance as to suitable university pathways and outline what they need to do to achieve their goals.
There will be a live Q&A at the end of this webinar, so bring your questions to the table!
As a Senior Strategist at Crimson Education, George has helped countless students master the application process to gain admission to world-leading universities like Harvard. Whilst at Harvard George fully embraced academic and extracurricular life and was able to cultivate new passions with the support of a liberal arts environment. In his role at Crimson, he endeavours to deliver the same experience to ambitious students around the world.
