Becoming a US College Athlete for Field Hockey

Have you got what it takes to secure scholarship funding and get recruited to study and play Field Hockey in the United States?

There are 263 college Field Hockey teams across Divisions 1, 2 and 3 in the US. Each team has about 20-25 players ranging across all years of university, meaning that spaces for fresh recruits are limited.

On top of this, each team will have a cap on the number of scholarship places they have. For Division 1 this is 12 and for Division 2 it’s only 6. Not to mention this is only for female players, there are no athletic scholarships for men.

The scarcity of scholarship funding and the fierceness of competition means that the athletic application process is very nuanced and ever-changing. How can you ensure you end up at the right university for you and stand out as a recruit?

Join our webinar and discover the fundamentals of US college Field Hockey recruitment from Jennifer Clark, Dartmouth Alumna, former Dartmouth Field Hockey player and former Football Women's Coach at Stanford, Dartmouth & Caltech
