Sana attended International School of Bern (ISB), Switzerland where she completed the International Baccalaureate (IB). As a high-schooler, Sana participated and won 1st place in a national creative writing competition, after which she enrolled at Franklin & Marshall College, an experience she considers transformative in her identity as a student and a learner. She also spent part of her junior year doing Study Abroad in Paris. She graduated with a B.A. in Creative Writing and French.

After working for a couple of years in advertising in New York City, Sana enrolled at Columbia University to pursue her Masters of Fine Arts (MFA) in Writing, where she was also the recipient of the prestigious AAUW scholarship. Upon graduation, she moved to Silicon Valley where she served as an admissions consultant for more than five years while also completing a certification in College Counseling from UCLA. While working in the Bay Area, Sana’s main focus was on helping students craft authentic and memorable personal statements for their college applications.

Sana is especially passionate about creating diverse books for children. She is a traditionally published children’s book author with her debut releasing in October 2021.
