California Institute of Technology has completed admissions offers for the Class of 2028. Last year (Class of 2027) only 412 applicants received offers, so everyone is eagerly awaiting announcements from Caltech about admissions statistics for its new first-year class. As for Caltech's acceptance rate, when last reported — for the Class of 2025 — it had dropped to a rather mind-blowing low of 3.9%. As for this year, we’re still waiting for additional insights and statistics from Caltech officials. Caltech’s Acceptance Rate and Admission Stats for the Class of 2027

On March 11th, the California Institute of Technology announced that it had offered admission, including individuals from early acceptance, to 412 students for the Class of 2027. Caltech has not released the total number of applications received for the Class of 2027.

Student Profile for Caltech Class of 2027

Caltech's admitted class of students is a highly diverse and inclusive group, comprising individuals from 39 US states, the District of Columbia, Guam, 31 countries, and six continents (excluding Antarctica). The class includes 44% female students (based on sex assigned at birth), with a number of trans, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming students also represented. Furthermore, 64% of the admitted class identifies as students of color, and 17% are first-generation college students.

The admitted students attended a total of 356 high schools, with 64% of them coming from public high schools. Additionally, 7% of admitted students hail from small towns and rural communities.
