Overseas Applications

Hello! I’m from Singapore and I was wondering if it would be too late to apply to UK and US unis after the A Level results are released? Would it mean that I’d have to take a gap year?

Hi,

A Level results generally come out in August. This would mean that you would be late for the fall intake in the same year. However, for many schools in the US, you could apply for the winter intake that starts in January.

Otherwise a gap year is also an option. The important thing is to make good use of your time in the gap year to make your profile stronger for application. Here is some more information on gap years.
