Join the ‘Beyond the Basics’ workshops as we take a deep dive into the exams and interviews you’ll sit as part of your NZ or UK admissions journey. To wrap up the session, our speakers will tell you everything you need to know about how to ace an interview, and how to secure your spot in your dream medical school. Join Dr. Chen Liu’s hilarious ‘Day in the Life of a Doctor’ presentation to get a taste of life as a doctor in New Zealand. This is a unique opportunity to hear firsthand about medical school and post-med training and practice, what life with an MBBS looks like.

This summit is a two-day conference featuring speakers that include the brilliant minds in MedView’s network of doctors, current medical students, tutors and admissions experts and the students we’ve supported in gaining admissions.
The Ultimate Medical School Admissions Summit will be hosted by Mandy, our MedView Expert.
Dr. Howshin Tsao graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 2018. He is currently practising medicine as a House Surgeon in Auckland's North Shore Hospital, New Zealand. He was recently awarded for his clinical practice at his hospital and is also involved in leading research to improve patient safety.
Dr. Chen Liu graduated from the University of Auckland with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) in 2013. He has practised medicine for 5 years working in all three hospitals of Auckland and trained in general surgery in Rotorua Hospital. He paused his surgery training in 2019 to focus on full time research and is currently a PhD student in the department of surgery.
Dr. Dexter Sim studied medicine at King's College, London and is currently working at hospitals in the National Health Service, England. He is the lead tutor and consultant for ISAT, UCAT and BMAT admission tests in the United Kingdom. Dexter crafts his own curriculum and hundreds of questions to teach new strategies and simplify complex concepts saving you marks and time.
Alicia is a current tutor at Crimson. She achieved a 96 percentile UMAT, OP2 - 98.10 ATAR/ OP1 - 99.10 with bonus ranks in 2018 when she graduated from Brisbane Girls Grammar School. She is now studying Bachelor of Science with provisional entry to the Doctor of Medicine at UQ. She enjoys reading, taekwondo, and spending time with her friends.

Daniel graduated from Monash University with an MBBS (Hons) in 2018. After receiving an Australian Rhodes Scholarship, Daniel deferred his medical internship at the Royal Melbourne Hospital to commence a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Artificial Intelligence Policy at the University of Oxford.
Callum graduated from the University of Auckland with a Masters in Biomedical Science in 2018. Graduating top of his class with 9 first in course awards, he knows what it takes to be successful at university. He has been working at MedView for over two years as an Education Coordinator and has helped advise over 200 students on their journey to medical school.
Chloe has just finished her second year of medicine at the University of Melbourne, with interests in areas including obstetrics and gynaecology, and surgery. She is originally from Sydney and completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Sydney, majoring in Anatomy and Histology. Chloe loves to read, explore new places in Melbourne and try new recipes to cook.
