Wellesley College received nearly a record-breaking number of applications for the Class of 2027. With over 8,400 applications, topping the second-highest number of applicants the college has ever received, only 13% of students were offered admission.

Wellesley College reported their regular decision results. The college received a massive 8,400 applications for the Class of 2027, with 13% of applications approved for admission. The college has not released the exact number of accepted students into their college.

Wellesley College Acceptance Guidelines for 2027

The accepted applications come from 46 states, as well as Puerto Rico, Guam, and the District of Columbia. In addition, Wellesley College accepted students from 33 international countries.

Out of the student population, 64% are domestic students who identify as people of color, which includes African American, Asian American, Latina or Hispanic, Native American, or m.

In addition, in the Class of 2027:

  • 52% of the students speak a language other than English in their homes.
  • 11% of the student body consists of international citizens.
  • 23% of the students will be the first in their families to attend a four-year college.

Currently, Wellesley College has suspended a standardized testing requirement. Students interested in applying for Wellesley College are no longer required to test.
