University College London’s admission statistics gives great insight into the university’s number of applications and acceptance rate. The education standard offered can be compared to the education offered by Ivy League schools. University College London has a highly selection admissions process, but Crimson students are having amazing success with admissions.
Generally, University College London has an acceptance rate of approximately 30%. The university is a federal institution consisting of 18 constituent colleges, each with their own admissions process and criteria. Therefore, it does not have an official university-wide acceptance rate. The acceptance rate for each college and program within the university can vary greatly depending on factors such as the number of applicants, the competitiveness of the program, and the available spots for new students.
It is important to understand that the number of offers does not equal enrollments at the university. For eg., in 2020 while UCL made 26,356 offers, the erollments for that year (the last admission cycle for which such data is available) were 5,841.
Our students have surpassed admission records for the latest UCL Class of 2027!
Despite the decreasing acceptance rates for UCL, 12 Crimson students (and counting) have already received offers. Students, their families and Crimson tutors and mentors worked together to create stellar admissions-worthy applications.
Here’s a breakdown of the offers by department:
We are so excited for Crimson’s UCL-bound students and can’t wait to share their success stories. Keep an eye on our blog and website for more regular admission results.

Admissions criteria for University College London can vary depending on the program and college to which you are applying. However, here are some general requirements and considerations that you should keep in mind:
It's important to note that each program and college may have its own specific requirements, so it is best to check with the program or college you are interested in for more information.
Make sure to highlight your unique strengths, skills, and experiences that make you a good fit for the program. For instance, if you have relevant work experience, leadership skills, or academic achievements, be sure to showcase them in your application. Remember, the goal is to show the admissions committee why you would be an asset to the program and what you can contribute to the university community.
Admissions committees want to see that you are passionate about the program you are applying to. Be sure to highlight why you are interested in the program and how it aligns with your academic and career goals. Demonstrating enthusiasm and excitement about the program can help you stand out from other applicants.
Have someone you trust review your application before submitting it. A fresh set of eyes can catch errors or inconsistencies that you may have missed. Additionally, seeking feedback from a professor, mentor, or colleague in your field can help you strengthen your application and make it more competitive.
