Coming in January: Crimson ACT Crash Course, Auckland & Christchurch
It’s no secret that one of the most important aspects of your US college application is your academic performance, including both your secondary school results and the required SAT or ACT test results. Beyond secondary school, improving your ACT result is a great way to improve your college candidacy on the whole. It’s important to remember that the ACT is marked comparatively, meaning you’re results are placed on a bell curve in relation to every one else who sits the test, which is thousands. The main purpose of the ACT is for US colleges to gauge how you perform relative to other applicants. Therefore, in order to get your best score and add the greatest value to your college application, you should be doing everything you can to excel beyond your peers.
Coming up in January, Crimson Education has prepared two ACT crash courses in New Zealand, which will help you improve your chances of getting into a US college. The courses will be held in Auckland and Christchurch, respectively.
In Auckland, the course will be held over 6 sessions, from January 9-14. You’ll hear from Keniel Yao, a New Zealander currently studying Applied Mathematics at Yale University. Keniel was Premier Scholar (in Year 12), Dux, Head Boy, and All-Rounder at his high school, becoming the only New Zealander in his year to be accepted into Harvard, Yale and Princeton. Since then, Keniel has invested his time in youth development, social innovation and impact assessment, and public policy analysis. An experienced standardised testing teacher, he’s excited to come back to New Zealand and share his experiences with other aspirational Kiwis.
The classes will run for 5 hours each day of the week, that's 30 hours of intense ACT training! You will sit a practice ACT test on the first and last day of the course in order to assess your improvement. All textbooks and preparation materials will be provided by Crimson.
