Rather than asking you to write one long essay, the MIT application consists of several short response questions and essays designed to help us get to know you.
Besides the essays, MIT requires an activities list and a self-reported coursework form.
All questions have to be answered. There is also one final, open-ended, additional-information text box where you can tell anything else you think MIT really ought to know.
